This painting was made while Knucci was working out of his apartment studio while on house arrest in 2018. He was working on another piece in his studio when he bumped into a piece on the other side of the room. Instantly, there was a domino effect of falling canvases around the room until, BOOM! A huge canvas came Crashing into this piece and cut a hole in the left side of the canvas. Knucci then decided to take advantage of this fateful occurrence by repairing the canvas and incorporating a tribute to Jasper John’s famous target paintings because the canvas was attacked as if there were a target on it.
